Some of the talented filmmakers who
work on Split Screen:
Timothy Steffen
Tim lives and works in NYC. He started a film company in New Brunswick,
NJ while in college at Rutgers. After graduating in 1994 he opened up a
Indigo Jones Coffee Bar in New Brunswick, then went to work at Maysles
Film Studio where Albert Maylses inspired him to try making documentaries
rather than Hollywood fluff.
Tim pays the bills by working at Ace Video Productions as staff editor.
"Producing Schlock" is his second documentary and deals with the rise and
fall of Sam Sherman, independent producer of 60's and 70's drive-in
movies. He is also working on a documentary about a handicapped
performance artist, and one on Generation X freight train hoppers in the
Mid-West.
